Injection Molding Process

Clamping: The injection molding machine clamped the half of the mold together. 

Injection: Plastic grains are heated and melted in the barrel from being fed into the hopper of the machine. From the nozzle, the molten plastic is subsequently pushed under great pressure into the mold cavity. 
Cooling: Once injected, the molten plastic solidifies within the mold cavity. Cooling passages inside the mold accelerate the cooling process. 
Ejection: Once the part has cooled enough, the mold opens and ejector pins or plates push the solidified part out of the mold.

Depending on needs, post-processing operations including machining, surface finishing (e.g., polishing, painting), assembly and packaging, and trimming extra material could be done.
