Anodizing
An electrochemical process that forms a protective oxide layer on the surface of metal parts, typically aluminum. Anodizing provides corrosion resistance, improved surface hardness and can be dyed to achieve various colors.
Powder Coating
A dry finishing process where finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface of a part. The coated part is then cured in an oven, creating a durable, uniform and attractive finish.
Painting
Liquid paint is sprayed, brushed, or dipped on a surface. Painting offers colorful and textured aesthetic protective finishes.
Plating
A thin layer of metal chrome, nickel, zinc or copper is deposited onto surface through electroplating or electroless plating. Plating adds aesthetic appeal with corrosion resistance and conductivity on parts.
Polishing
An aesthetic alteration done with a chemical or mechanical process to achieve a high gloss resurfacing. Polishing improves surface finish of metal parts to make them more appealing.
Brushing
Abrasive pads or brushes are used to achieve a satin or matte brushed surface finish on metals like stainless steel or aluminum.
Bead Blasting
Surface impurities such as oxide layers and burrs are removed by blasting small abrasive particles at highspeed to a part. Bead blasting can prepare surfaces for subsequent coats or finishes and achieve a uniform satin finish.
Clear Coating
A transparent layer such as lacquer or polyurethane protective coating is added to the surface of the part to shield it from scratches, UV light, and extension, while not changing the aspect of the base material underneath it.
